Q: What is Atlantic States Rural Water & Wastewater Associate (ASRWWA)?
A: ASRWWA is a private non-profit organization that represents water and wastewater systems, across Connecticut and Rhode Island, through training, technical assistance and advocacy. Our mission is to provide safe drinking water and protect the environment at an affordable cost to the users. Our programs include managerial and technical assistance, training classes for system personnel on federal and state rules, system operation and maintenance, and various financial issues. We provide an information network that keeps you in touch with your neighbor’s system, regulatory agencies and the legislature while giving you an effective voice in matters that concern you. In short, the Association is here for and with you, on anything from operator certification to securing a loan. Please call or email us today with any questions!
Q: How do I get ASRWWA to assist me with my water, or wastewater, systems issues?
A: Just give us a call at 860-889-6373. Once we know what your problem is, and what kind of system you are, we’ll put you in contact with the appropriate staff person.
Q: Can ASRWWA help to complete my Consumer Confidence Report (CCR)?
A: Yes, we can prepare your water systems CCR. Please visit the CCR section and click on the appropriate State for additional information.
Q: Are ASRWWA’s training courses approved for license renewal?
A: Yes, all water operator training course are CT DPH and RI DOH approved for license renewal. Each course includes information on if the course is approved for treatment, distribution or both licenses. Please visit our training section or contact Nicole Hendrickson with any questions.
